Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities

·         Review, process and record accounting documents, invoices, receipts, payments and journal entries.

·         Reconcile customer and supplier accounts and monitor outstanding balances.

·         Manage and maintain the myDATA platform.

·         Support tax compliance and accounting procedures.

·         Maintain and update customer and supplier records.

·         Prepare VAT calculations and reconciliations in collaboration with the external accountant.

·         Liaise with public authorities and government agencies when required.

·         Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures and the preparation of financial reports in cooperation with the accountant.

Requirements

·         Degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field from a Higher Education Institution (University or Technological Educational Institute).

·         Previous experience in a similar accounting role.

·         Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Atlantis, Entersoft, SoftOne, Epsilon Net, Singular Enterprise).

·         Strong knowledge of ERP systems.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

·         Good command of the English language.

·         Good understanding of Greek Accounting Standards (GAS).

·         Basic payroll knowledge.

·         Good understanding of Greek tax legislation.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

·         Problem-solving mindset, accountability and attention to detail.

·         Strong teamwork and effective communication skills.
